Akustisk overvåking av korrosjon
En korrosjonsdetektor basert på akustisk deteksjon lanseres nå av Euro Physical Acoustics SA. Utstyret kartlegger korrosjon i industrielle strukturer og har allerede gitt oppsiktsvekkende resultater.
Metoden gjør det mulig å oppdage korrosjon og gravrust i lagertanker, rørforbindelser, reaktortanker, transporttanker og destillasjonskolonner. Overvåking av materialer som rustfritt stål, aluminium og diverse legeringer skjer ved at de akustiske signalene som oppstår i forbindelse med korrosjonsutbredelsen kartlegges.
Systemet, med betegnelsen Corpac1, markedsføres i Norge gjennom firmaet Alvetec AS i Oslo. Det bærbare systemet er enkelt i bruk og det gir rask diagnose på et bredt spekter av industrielle strukturer. Utstyrpakken omfatter som inngår omfatter føler med forforsterker, programvare, database og brukerlisens.

New Straight Tube Pressure Sensor Improves Reliability [14.02.2000]
The new Model ST from SENSOTEC is a pressure transducer/transmitter which features a 2" straight tube pressure connection and a flow through design. The unique design has no dead volume as is found in traditional pressure ports, and eliminates trapped air pockets which can dampen the frequency response or result in zero shift. This design also resists the accumulation of contaminates in the pressure media which could be deposited in a standard pressure port.
