New Straight Tube Pressure Sensor

Improves Reliability

The new Model ST from SENSOTEC is a pressure transducer/transmitter which features a 2" straight tube pressure connection and a flow through design. The unique design has no dead volume as is found in traditional pressure ports, and eliminates trapped air pockets which can dampen the frequency response or result in zero shift. This design also resists the accumulation of contaminates in the pressure media which could be deposited in a standard pressure port.

The Model St straight flow design is offered in a variety of pressure ranges; Standard output is 4-20mA with 9-32 VDC excitation, and the operating temperature is 0 to 180 F, compensated from 60 to 160 F. The units display excellent overpressure tolerance of up to 2X without damage and 5X without failure. Standard electrical termination is an environmentally rated, sixpin Bendix connector. Additional features include remote buffered shunt calibration, voltage, current or millivolt outputs, and CE rating.

The Model ST delivers accuracies of 0.1% to 1% of full scale and has also found use in such applications as paint lines, metering & dispensing of adhesives, engine and transmission testing, and semiconductor processing. The design allows for reliable flushing and cleaning between uses, as is often required.
