Silentium Silences Noisy Servers, HVAC Systems, and Appliances
Active Noise Control promotes healthier environments while reducing cooling costs
Rehovot, Israel - July 13, 2010 - Silentium is bringing its "Silence in a Chip" technology to several major markets, including IT, HVAC, automotive, medical equipment and appliances. Silentium achieves up to 30 dB(A) of noise reduction, which the human ear registers as a 96% noise elimination, using Active Noise Control (ANC) technology.
ANC neutralizes noise by producing an "anti-noise" signal, eliminating noise and allowing all internal equipment, such as fans, to run at optimal speeds, dramatically lowering cooling costs. Silentium's two primary products are the S-Cube? Kit (SCK?), a low-cost basic building block for mass-produced products, and S-Cube? Development Kit (SCDK?), for designing or retrofitting customer's products.
